Father, Bring Me a Boat...

For I cannot bear the loss of Lancelot. My heart will not recover from this blow, and my body fades with each passing day. So, my brothers, bring a boat to the river Thames. Paint upon its prow my name so that he might know me. With this lily and letter, lay me to rest upon it and send me down the river to Camelot. Let Lancelot see me, fair and still, and know his wrong by me. May he pay for my funeral and remember how well I loved him. May all remember how fragile the Lady of Astolat was, a fair lily whose life was cut too short by love unrequited for Lancelot.

So the next piece in my King Arthur series of pieces. This one is of Elaine of Astolat. I really feel for her because of her unrequited love. She truly loved Lancelot, even saved his life, but he just leaves her.

This one took months to do... But I really liked doing it. It was fun. Cookies for anyone who can spot the symbols in this.
